Me and Mister

On our recent trip to visit our new home we happened upon what I think is the coolest creature on this green earth. And I, being a little crazy, took it to be a sign that we are doing the right thing. And I, being the dumbest human being on this green planet, actually left the safety of our car so that I could have my photo made with the coolest creature ever (also one of the most dangerous and aggressive) so that I could prove to all my family and friends that I had actually met a moose.
So, here he his. I named him Mister and he is my new best friend. I tried to bring him home with me, but apparently 400 square feet isn't a big enough apartment for a moose. So he is waiting for me in Jackson.

I am SO excited for you and your adventure!! Sad that you won't be in Tennessee with me and Patrick but that's just selfishness. I think this will be wonderful. And that getting out of the city and the stress it's put on your marriage will be so great for both of you. A fresh start. Think how many people dream of just that.

Have you found somewhere to live yet?

Michael will be renting an apartment above his buddie's garage and then we will start house hunting when I join him in January. I can't wait! An actual house with a real yard! And I'm so excited about you being in Tennessee, we can visit whenever I visit my mom! And you and Patrick definitely have to come visit in Jackson.

We're goin' to Jackson...

Well, it's official. We are moving to Jackso Hole, WY. Michael found himself a fantastic job and he will be driving away on November 1st. Which means that I will be left to battle the evil city all by myself until December 21 when I finish school and a really exciting internship.
Just me. No dogs. No husband. Deep breath.
This move is full of mixed emotions. We will be moving closer to our dearest friends and my baby brother, but further away from our families. My mom has pointed out many times (we just told her yesterday) that JH is 1500 miles from Knoxville (it's actually more like 1850, but I will never tell her that.) Michael's parents are even acting all hurt and pouty. But in the end we have to do what's best for us and what's best for our marriage. And getting out of this city and surrounding ourselves with the things we love, well, hopefully it will help us both.
Keep your fingers crossed, I know I am.
